Privacy Policy

01Introduction

PrivateSims is built on a simple conviction: your connectivity should not come at the cost of your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, what we explicitly do not collect, and how we handle the minimal data necessary to operate the Service.

Unlike most companies that draft privacy policies to justify extensive data collection, ours exists to document our commitment to collecting as little as possible.

02Information We Collect

We collect only what is strictly necessary to provide the Service:

  • Email address — Used for account creation, authentication, and essential service communications.
  • Hashed password — Your password is hashed using industry-standard algorithms. We never store or have access to your plaintext password.
  • Wallet transaction records — We store records of deposits and purchases made through your PrivateSims wallet for account management purposes.
  • eSIM order history — We retain records of purchased eSIM plans so you can access your QR codes and manage active plans.

That is the complete list. We do not collect anything beyond this.

03Information We Do NOT Collect

We want to be explicit about what we do not collect, because what a company doesn’t collect matters more than what it does:

Government-issued identification
Phone numbers
Physical addresses
Browsing history or web activity
IP address logging
Traffic inspection or deep packet analysis
Location data or GPS coordinates
Device fingerprinting data
Usage pattern analytics
Connection timestamps
Social media profiles
Biometric data

We have no interest in your browsing habits, your location, or your identity. Our infrastructure is intentionally designed to not retain this data.

04How We Use Information

The minimal information we collect is used exclusively for:

  • Account management — Authenticating your login, managing your dashboard, and enabling account recovery.
  • Transaction processing — Processing cryptocurrency deposits, maintaining your wallet balance, and fulfilling eSIM purchases.
  • Service communications — Sending essential notifications related to your account, such as order confirmations or security alerts. We do not send marketing emails.

We do not sell, rent, trade, or share your information with third parties for advertising or marketing purposes. Ever.

05Cryptocurrency Payments

Cryptocurrency payments are processed through NOWPayments, a third-party payment processor. When you make a deposit:

  • NOWPayments generates a temporary payment address for your transaction.
  • We store only the transaction hash (ID) for verification and dispute resolution purposes.
  • We do not permanently store your cryptocurrency wallet address.
  • NOWPayments processes the conversion and confirms payment receipt.

06Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on encrypted servers located in privacy-respecting offshore jurisdictions, outside the reach of mass surveillance programs and overreaching data-sharing agreements.

We implement industry-standard security measures including:

  • Encryption of data at rest and in transit (TLS/SSL)
  • Hashed and salted password storage
  • Regular security audits and updates
  • Minimal data retention — we only keep what is necessary

While we take every reasonable precaution, no system is perfectly secure. We encourage you to use strong, unique passwords and enable two-factor authentication if available.

07Third-Party Services

We work with a limited number of third-party services to operate PrivateSims:

NOWPayments — Payment Processing

Handles cryptocurrency payment processing. Receives transaction details necessary to process your deposit. Does not receive your email, account details, or any other PrivateSims account information.

MobiMatter — eSIM Provisioning

Provides the underlying eSIM profiles and connectivity. When you purchase an eSIM, we share the minimum data required to provision your plan — this does not include your email address or any personally identifying information. MobiMatter receives only what is necessary to activate and manage the eSIM profile.

We do not use analytics services, advertising trackers, social media pixels, or any other third-party tracking tools on our platform.

08Cookies

We use only strictly functional cookies necessary to operate the Service:

  • Authentication token — A session cookie that keeps you logged in. Expires when you log out or after a set period.

We do not use tracking cookies, analytics cookies, advertising cookies, or any third-party cookies. There is no cookie consent banner because there is nothing to consent to beyond basic functionality.

09Data Retention

We follow a minimal data retention policy:

  • Account data is retained only while your account is active.
  • When you delete your account, all associated data (email, transaction history, eSIM records) is permanently deleted from our systems.
  • We do not maintain backups of deleted account data.
  • Transaction hashes may be retained for a limited period for dispute resolution, after which they are purged.

10Your Rights

You have the right to:

  • Delete your account — Request complete deletion of your account and all associated data at any time.
  • Export your data — Request a copy of all data we hold about you.
  • Access information — Request details about what information we have stored about your account.

11Children’s Privacy

PrivateSims is not intended for use by individuals under 18 years of age. We do not knowingly collect information from minors. If you believe a minor has created an account, please contact us and we will promptly delete the account and all associated data.

12Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will revise the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. If we make material changes that reduce your privacy protections, we will notify you via email before the changes take effect.

Our commitment to minimal data collection will not change. Any updates to this policy will maintain or strengthen your privacy protections — never weaken them.
